MIDORI Biography
Devani Medina, better known as "MIDORI", is a talented DJ and producer hailing from Monterrey, Nuevo León. Since launching her project in 2019, she has focused on the Hardcore and Uptempo genres, with a particular emphasis on Early Hardcore. Aiming to make her mark on the music scene, Midori has had the opportunity to perform at prestigious events such as Dreamfields Mexico (GDL), Carnaval Festival (Toluca), HOME GDL, Catedral (MTY), and popular Monterrey venues like Open Club, Arte Macro, and APARATO, standing out at each of her performances.
Her musical influences include prominent artists like Dark Destination, Chosen Few, Resosant Squad, Painbringer, Knightvision, Vandal!sm, NSD, and Cryogenic, which have played a key role in shaping her unique style. These influences are seamlessly woven into her productions, creating a distinctive sonic experience.
Recognized as one of the brightest promises of Mexican Hardcore, Midori has released six tracks to date, including free releases and original productions. Among these, "No Plays No Games!" and "HVRDCR MF" stand out, both released through Ruttercords, a label known for its dedication to the more aggressive styles within the Hardance subgenres in Mexico. She also released "Do You Like This", in collaboration with Persephone, under the Dutch label GABBERECORDS.
Thanks to her relentless dedication and undeniable talent, Midori has established herself as one of the leading figures in Mexico’s Hardcore scene, earning the respect and admiration of the music industry.
