LIL B Biography
DJ LiL’B aka BHAVINI SHAH is a 24 year old Music Aficionado, a Clubbing Soul, a Hip-Hop Hustler, a Night Life Lover, a Die Hard Workaholic, a Junk Foodie, a Maniac Photographer, a Non Stop Chatter Box and Super Bling Crazy Freak from Mumbai! LiL’B is the first & the only Indian female DJ to spin on Ableton Live Interface!!!
The journey kicked off at DJ Nasha’s workstation in May 2005, where her hobby grew into a career, named changed from Bhavini Shah to DJ LiL’B & she started spinning on & off at esteem nightclubs of Mumbai for ‘Ladies Nights & Hip-Hop Nights’. When questioned why she chose her stage name to be LiL’B she answers with a broad smile stating “I started DJ-ing when I was only 17. This proudly made me the youngest DJ in India and one of the’s in Asia! Also, I used to love spinning loads of Hip Hop / RnB / Reggae / Gangsta music back in the time….Names of legendary Hip Hop Artistes like Lil’Wayne, Lil’Kim, Lil’Jon, Lil’Flip, and many more inspired me! Thus “LiL” is derived from my age and the Hip Hop influence & “B” stands for my initial “Bhavini” & the Bling freak that I am! I truly personify the popular proverb – Diamonds are a girl’s best friend!”
Soon she took over the nation & the world with her passion for music, her unique DJ-ing skills, her interactive nature, her ability to spin for all sorts of crowd and yes, a million dollar smile :)
DJ LiL’B is best known for her fast mixing, back to back hits in main stream music. She does an unbelievable Hip Hop set wherein she live mixes about 80 tracks in 60 mixes! LiL’B is the finest and the most technically sound female DJ when it comes to commercial music in India and around the world. Her crisp sounds, tight mixing, the technology used to spin and power packed sets leave party people begging for more! Today LiL’B is the only acknowledged female DJ who spins Hip Hop. No doubt that her roots belong to Hip Hop, but since last 5 years LiL’B is massively known for her commendable Bollywood, Punjabi & Commercial Sets. DJ LiL’B is super successful and has commercially acclaimed fame in everything that she does!
