KAY-DEE Biography
OFFICIAL DJ KAY-DEE is the stage name of a young female DJ from Cape Town, South Africa.
Her genre of music is House, Tech-house, Melodic Techno, Techno & EDM. Her fusion of music will bring the crowd into a state of energy and excitement, but it doesn't stop there. KAY-DEE has the unique ability to create energy on the dance floor and this has inspired her to work towards her passion for music and the love for the crowd and being a successful DJ. Her main goal for the future is to play at the biggest events the world can offer. KAY-DEE dreams of becoming an international DJ.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
She entered a DJ competition hosted by Valley of Light during 2019 in Cape Town South Africa. She made the top 10 finals and won the competition which gave her the opportunity to open the Main Stage for Valley of Light on 7 December 2019.
KAY-DEE has had the opportunity to play alongside many artists that go by the names of TIMO ODV, Jack Parow, Mark Stent, Jon Mesquita, Chunda Munki, New Hero, Roommush, Chris Taylor, Das Kapital, Dalootz, Gremlin, Tevivo, Kurt April, Sir Bongz, Hartley, Tyler Fisher, and Thaps.
KAY-DEE is very well known in the U18 scene playing numerous events, house parties & private functions.
KAY-DEE has also started her own U18 POP UP club called “theaceofclubs”. She is taking her private events more seriously and taken up open format DJ-ing and done a few weddings too. As much as she enjoys these private events her dream is to still become an international DJ and play for many festivals and clubs in the world.
BACKGROUND:
She has successfully done numerous DJ courses and completed the Pioneer Pro DJ course, Ultimate DJ course, Music Production and Turntablism courses.
Studied at Cape Audio College.
Completed Music Production and graduated at Rise Academy.
Received training on SL1200 turntables.
