ALANA LEY Biography
Alana was born in Montevideo, Uruguay .She began her career as a DJ in 2008.
Since childhood she took interest towards music heavily influenced by rock. At age 12 she began listening to artists such as Depeche Mode, New Order, Kraftwerk, Chemical Brothers, Radio Head, Cold Play, etc. Alana had decided that this was her musical style.
After attending different events and listening to several artists in Buenos Aires and Punta del Este she decided to take professional DJ lessons, where she began to understand the essence of the sounds and quadratures defining her musical style. Some of her musical influences were Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Sasha, D-Nox and Beckers and Nick Warren. Her style varies between House, deep house, Tech and Techno.
In 2008 Alana began to play in festivals, events with friends, and bars/ clubs of Montevideo; such as Key and kalu. Half-way through the year she was invited to an underground party in the city of Curitiba, at Oxxy Club (Brazil). She also played at events outside the capital of her country; Rosario (Colonia), Punta Del Este (Maldonado), Under the Stars (Mercedes) and Summer Fields (Minas). Alana participated in one of Uruguay´s biggest events of electronic music since its inception; Open Park (Montevideo) bringing together more than 5000 people and the best national DJs.
She participated in private events in Argentina (Buenos Aires), for fashion brands such as Kosiuko, Nike and Ronda de mujeres. As well as in bars and clubs such as Lotus, Warlus, Bamboo, Osadía, Red lounge, Maroñas, Soho and OVO Punta del Este.
Alana shared booth with some of the best national DJs; Fernando Picon, Koolt, Ruben Duffey, Gustavo Bravetti and international; John Digweed (Uk) Nic Fanciulli ( UK) , Paolo Mojo (Uk), Felipe Venegas (Ch), dj Mina (Ar), Ricky Ryan (Ar), Tommy disco (Ar) among others. Alana was played in ibiza and Barcelona
