TASHA LOSAN Biography
Proud to call herself Australian and Bulgarian, Tasha has been on the stage since the age of 5. Born and raised on the sunny Gold Coast in Queensland (Australia), at 16 she was well on the path towards becoming a professional ballet dancer when an unfortunate injury struck. This led her into the world of acting, singing and commercial dance. Her first summer season working as a club dancer on the famous island of Ibiza in 2006 was when her love of Electronic Music was truly ignited.
From then on she began working with Australian House Music act The Shazam Experience as their lead vocalist and topline writer before claiming her own place behind the decks in 2018 as a solo artist. She currently hosts her weekly radio show SUBSONIC hitting radio stations worldwide and has supported artists such as Deborah De Luca, Teenage Mutants, The Stafford Brothers, Oliver Huntemann, Dom Dolla and Charlotte De Witte to name a few.
With her classical music upbringing, unique musical taste, true crowd pleaser attitude and ability to create a sophisticated party vibe, Tasha’s deep passion for the art of creating magical moments on the dance floor and in the studio shines through her work.
Tasha has quickly gained great support from the local and international scene reaching as far as London featuring on BBC Radio 1 (Introducing), featuring as a guest radio DJ in New York and Canada (Tommy ’T’ NYC ’T’ease Me Mix Radio Show), Bulgaria (World Up Records, Radio Nova), Germany (54 House FM), SoulMix Radio (UK) & RisingSound FM (USA).
Labels she has previously released on as a vocalist/topline writer include Whoyostro (Kiev), DekTek Records (Australia), Marcus Knight Presents (Australia), Dance and Love Records (Italy), BIP Records (Belgium), Trontronic Entertainment (Switzerland). 2020 saw her collaboration track with UK artist S.M.I.T.H (Satisfy Ft. Tasha Losàn - S.M.I.T.H) reach the Top 3 in the ‘Latest Releases’ Beatport Chart. Tasha is never one to rest on her laurels and is currently working on her upcoming solo artist EP.
Deeply passionate about supporting aspiring, upcoming and established Electronic Music female artists, in 2020 she also decided to start building her worldwide community Sonic Adventure Ladies. She launched SAL (Sonic Adventure Ladies) through an online LIVE stream & Micro Club concept thanks to the undeniable support of Brisbane, Australia’s remembered and loved underground club Sub Rosa. This event catapulted her SAL vision into the world and it’s only just the beginning.
She plays all genres under the envelope of Nu Disco, House, Tech, Progressive & Techno and is known to throw some smooth vocals over her sets when the time is right. SUBSONIC airs on radio stations worldwide every Sunday and Wednesday.
